Superb Chippendale Period Mahogany Footstool

Superb Chippendale period mahogany footstool raised on acanthus carved legs ending in scrolled toes in the French fashion.

This particular Chippendale style is one of the most rare and sought after.

Circa 1740, with label 'Frank Partridge, Kings Street, London', with needlepoint upholstered seat.

According to Partridge, with reference to the address on the attached label, it was purchased prior to 1938.

Partridge is one of a handful of premier antique dealers in English antiques in the world.
