Staddle Stone

No. A16987

 Staddle Stone with weathered surface.

The top has a very old small chip on one side that has the same weathering as the rest of this antique staddle stone.

The base is a slightly bulbous tapered square shape.

These two part stones were used to support grain buildings in order to keep rodents out and hold the storage above any water seepage.

They are roughly mushroom shape and are great accents in garden scapes.
