Small brass crane for a bottle jack clockwork spit.
There is a notch toward the outer end of the crane for the bottle jack to settle.
This would swing out to work for rotissing by the fireplace.
The back plate has screw holes for attaching the crane by the fire.
This little brass crane was either folded flat against the fireplace wall or was swung out for using it.
It is eight inches deep when in use.
