Very Small English Regency Giltwood Convex Mirror in superb original surface. The crest is an eagle with spread wings (retaining original Verde Antique) perched atop a rock base with oak branches and leaves on either side. The convex mirror is framed by a cast lace circular border inside a cove mold around a reeded ebonized inner border. The base features a rare pair of intertwined serpents backed with stylized foliage. (Note: Serpents at that time were considered allies to ward off evil) Two original candle branches with cut glass bobeches and brass sockets.
