Wonderful Lady’s Hepplewhite tambour (roll top) writing table. The rectangular dome-top tambour lifts and rolls back, opening to an interior fitted with valence headed compartments over three document drawers (the right one has fittings for ink, sander and pens) above the tooled leather writing surface. The skirt is fitted with two cockbeaded drawers, raised on square tapered legs.
The brass is all original including the small “stirrup” brass on the interior drawers.
This has a wonderful silhouette with the side forming a flattened (or hyperbolic) curve.
