French Two Door Cherry Armoire with gently arched top, the cherry has the most wonderful deep glow. Single panels on each door. Vine and floral carvings on face and skirt. Lovely brass hinges and key escutcheons. Circa 1800. The shelf inside has been moved with a new sturdy shelf put in for a large TV.Two door armoire with gently arched bonnet. This is an example of one of those situations that everything lines up: great wood, form, carving and the polishing and use over the years have a produced a lustrous patina with deep red highlights of the 200 year old cherry!
